This was the issue I collaborated on long distance, while I was in India. It was a crazy time, since dad was in a coma then. My team did a remarkable job putting this together, with my long distance input.

A lot of people told me it was the prettiest issue ever.

September 2007 Issue of Health

Here's the September 2007 issue of the Southern Health Magazine.

I really liked the cover on this one. A new graphic artist worked on this issue, since S. who used to lay it out before got promoted and moved onto more important things!

So I asked P. my new graphic artist to come up with a fun image of an elderly couple and this is what he came up with!

August 2007 Issue of Health!

Here's the August issue of the Southern Health Magazine. Been crazy-busy this month and never got around to uploading it here, on my blog.

Funny thing is at least six people came up to me separately and said they felt sorry for the young couple on the cover, posing for an STD story! :)

The June issue was the first with zero features written by me. This was because I was on vacation in India.

Since it's February, we just had to have a cover story on heart health, since it's heart month after all. And before you say anything, the hot pink cover really is quite lovely when you see it in RL!

One of our best covers so far, this is the last issue of the Southern Health Magazine for the year 2006.

We figured it would be a good idea to get away from the cliched, "expected" cover of people dressed in winter gear. Yeah its that time of the year, but why not try something different?

November 2006 Issue of Health!

So this is the November 2006 issue of the Southern Health Magazine. The cover is pretty unique in that we usually use real people on the cover instead of what we have here.

But since the cover story was on Genetic Counseling, which affects the entire family, we felt it was a pretty apt cover and a creative alternative at the same time.

The August-September 2006 Issue of Health!

The August-September 2006 issue of the Southern Health Magazine came out some time ago. But I didn't find the time to put it up on my blog, until now.

Dont you just love the cover? Its bright, colorful and screams, "Pick me up, please!"

Unfortunately our webmaster resigned recently and until her place is filled, there's a temporary webmaster who's so backlogged with work that he hasnt as yet found the time to get this magazine online!

So if you visit the Health website, you'll still see last month's issue, even though this one has been out for a while. *sigh*

When it's posted on our website, I'll repost the links here.

The July-August 2006 Issue of Health!

The July-August 2006 issue of the Southern Health Magazine hit stands sometime ago, but I havent had the time to post about it until now.

This is an issue I'm particularly proud of - there are some great stories inside and even a redesign of all the columns. I worked with my design guy to give the columns a trendier, more updated look (visually speaking) so that it gels with the rest of the glossy magazine.

I've been receiving several emails and phone calls (ever since this issue came out) from some lovely readers saying how much they loved the stories. Nothing can be more motivating than hearing direct from my target audience.
