Cascade of Colors

Saturday evening, we took both the dogs to Cascade of Colors - Southern Illinois' hot air balloon festival.

The parking area at Southern Illinois airport was jam packed with cars, when we got there.

Hundreds of families and their kids filled the venue, staring up at the balloons as they rose into the sky.

It was lovely watching the colorful balloons rising up into the air, as the wind ruffled my hair.

Since we had our dogs, we didn't go inside, but watched the balloons from outside the fenced in area.

A lot of people came by and petted Mina. "Oh she's such a cutie!" was the common refrain.

I felt bad for Pico. No one petted him. Poor boy!
