Deepavali

It's Deepavali today and am feeling quite homesick.

No sign of festivity in the town we live in here. Am yearning for all the pomp and hoopla, excitement and laughter that accompanies this festival back home.

Am yearning for that feeling of family togetherness. The feeling of celebration.

I guess this is every immigrant's story. Nothing new to it.
